Henry Carroll

Henry Carroll is an author with an MFA from the Royal College of Art, London.

In 2008 Henry founded Frui, which grew to become the UK’s leading provider of photography, painting and cooking tours with over 20 destinations around the world.

In 2014 Henry authored the bestselling ‘Read This if You Want to Take Great Photographs’ series which has sold over one million copies across 22 languages. A list of Henry’s books can be found here.

The first two books in his new ‘Photographs That Make You Think’ series titled ‘Animals’ and ‘Humans’ were published by Abrams in October 2021. These were followed by ‘Land’, published in spring 2022.

In October 2024 the first book in his ‘Decades’ series, ‘The 1980s: Image of a Decade’, was published by Thames & Hudson and is followed by ‘The 1990s: A Visual History of the Decade’ in October 2025.

Originally from London, Henry now lives in Los Angeles.
